Hey there, my mama friend! I’m so glad you decided to stop by my blog. I know there are hundreds of thousands of other blogs you could be looking at right now, so I’m grateful you took the time to come over to check out mine.
If you’re looking for a place to come to each day for tips and strategies that can be applied immediately – without a book or course or coaching session, you’ve found it! I have three goals with EVERY piece of content I provide on this site: educate, encourage, and/or entertain you in some way. Bottom line: I want every person who spends some time on my site to find SOMETHING that allows them to walk away feeling better than before they landed here.
I don’t sugarcoat things or waste time with fluffy words. I like to get right to the heart of my message because I know you’re a busy woman who’s searching for answers, and you don’t have time to waste.
With that said, let’s get right into my first tip for you….
Stop making choices. Decide!
Did you know there’s a difference between those two words?
Decide means to cut off all other options – kill all other options.
De – the Latin word for “away” or “from”
Cide – the Latin word for “kill” or “cut down”
Have you been wanting to write a book? Start a business? Apply for a position at work? Start a podcast or YouTube channel? Create or grow something?
The key is to GET STARTED!
Too many people spend too much time getting ready to get ready. They think they have to know everything about a topic to start sharing it with others or start working toward it. What really happens is they either go into information overload mode and stop, or they never get started at all.
Learn as you go! Earn as you learn!
Instead of binging on YouTube videos or books or podcasts….listen to ONE by an influencer you really respect, and then GO DO the thing they mentioned you should do.
That’s how you win. Start taking imperfect action and keep doing that until you become better at the thing you desire to do. Your first video or podcast episode is not going to sound as smooth as your seventeenth. Your seventeenth isn’t going to sound as smooth as your fourty-fifth. You grow as you go.
And despite what hustle culture teaches, you DON’T have to sacrifice time with your family to do this. You CAN create and grow a side income or passion project alongside motherhood. In fact, being a wife and mother typically means being a house manager – or the CSO (Chief Strategizing Officer) of your family! That means you already possess all the necessary skills it takes to manage projects and people. You simply translate those skills over to whatever you’re passionate about alongside motherhood. And then you hone those skills in the pockets of your daily life.
One thing I’m really good at it is breaking down complex concepts into bitesized, applicable action steps.
So, here’s a prompt to help you get started.
