As a mom of three (now adult kids), Nonna of 3 grandbabies under 7, and a former Early Childhood Educator, believe me when I say…I KNOW the stress of being home with and caring for littles day in and day out.

Whether you’re a stay-home mom or a mom who works outside the home, you’re probably the CSO of your home (Chief Strategizing Officer). That means you handle all (or most) of the scheduling, planning, organizing, cleaning, and replenishing for your home. This means that you don’t just constantly have to address questions like “what’s for dinner?” but you’re also the go-to person when it comes to things like:

  • changing out everyone’s clothes each season
  • making sure the house is stocked with toilet paper and paper towels
  • organzing family photo sessions regularly
  • planning vacations and packing for them
  • managing doctor and dentist appointments
  • organizing Christmas and birthdays
Does any of this sound familiar?

It’s called handling the mental load for your household, and it can be an exhausting, draining part of motherhood. Some of these tasks are seasonal; others are daily or weekly.

And while I can’t give you strategies or solutions for managing ALL of these topics concerning motherhood, I can offer a few tips that can help ease the daily stress and help you start embracing and enjoying motherhood again.
